WHY REDESIGN?
My peers and I redesigned the dental company, Delta Dental's online booking, to improves its user experience after it received some user complaints regarding the way the platform was presented.
UX RESEARCH INSIGHTS

Members are confused about their plans and filtering options
Insight: User experience is tampered with overloaded information that can potentially lead to users getting frustrated of making a bad decision or users could accidentally abandon the search they're looking for.

Solution: Simplify the filters design and search results by limiting unnecessary information.
Lack of accessibility for individuals with disabilities
Insight: Users are frustrated with the lack of accessibility for individuals with disabilities. There are complaints about the appointment booking experience, where there is lack of awareness or inclusion in their services.

Solution: Applying accessible design in the dentist search results and filters intuitively. Ensure the results are readable and have a clear visual layout.

Primary Goal: ​
“I’m looking for a dentist that is nearby, rated highly, under my health plan or network, will accept appointments any time, and attentive on handling anyone who has a disability.”

REVIEW
I gathered plentiful of knowledge from my peers and mentors regarding assisting users achieving their primary goal. It is always a lesson that I will consider moving forward with my designs.
CONTEXT
This project took place during my second semester at CUNY Lehman College, where I partnered with 3 of my peers, along with four of our mentors from DxD Intensive (Diversify by Design). We were given a persona to work with, and we worked together to assist on fulfilling our persona's goal. The device size we worked with was mobile first, and then we developed a desktop version. I also received my certificate of completion as an achievement for completing the program.
